Project Scope:
These clients wanted a kitchen/dining area refresh, to make their space more modern, and accommodate their large families, who visit for weeks at a time.
The old kitchen became a guest bedroom and the space next to it was transformed in to the kitchen, disguising the existing column, allowing for an open plan feel, but with minimal structural changes.
The slick new panel-ready appliances helped with continuity to make the space feel bigger in contrast to their awkwardly placed, bulky appliances.
The statement stone countertop and backsplash perfectly complemented the modern look of the new kitchen, with the darker marbling inspiring the black uppers. The cabinets broke up the space with the good kind of contrast, and tied in the dark surface mounted lights and sink faucet with the rest of the design.
Including banquette seating in the dining room allowed the clients to maximize on space for when they are hosting visitors, as well as add some much-needed storage.
