Our Favourite Vancouver Design Shops
September 20, 2022
This month on the blog, we are taking you on a tour of some of our favourite interior design and home decorating shops in Vancouver, British Columbia, and surrounding areas. We love to shop local; you can't beat it for unique finds, and it feels great to support local businesses.
We have rounded up 5 of our go-to for home decorating, interior design shops, and general inspiration.
Old Faithful Shop
Gastown + Kitsilano, https://www.oldfaithfulshop.com
If you want to add a unique piece to your interior, or are in need of a thoughtful gift, we recommend stopping by the Old Faithful Shop. They carry various European, Japanese, and one-of-a-kind brands; this beautiful Jut Cabinet, crafted of solid oak, by Denmark brand Skagerak is the kind of treasure you can expect to find here.
Their range of stylish and functional kitchenware is worth the visit alone, but if you are outside of the city, you can shop online with free shipping on orders over $75.
Full House Modern
Kitsilano, https://fullhousemodern.com
Full House Modern brings together a decent-sized range of high-end brands, but with a very cohesive MCM influence. Their collection clearly focuses on natural materials like warm woods and rich linens.
They scout out the best products from Scandinavian and American designers, as well as support closer to home in Canada. One thing they all have in common is the focus on sustainability, ensuring they only partner with FSC-certified manufacturers.
Their authentic vintage finds are another showcase of their sustainability efforts, committed to finding new homes for previously loved pieces.
Layered Home & Living
Port Coquitlam, https://www.layeredhomeliving.com
Just a bit outside the city, you can find Layered Home & Living, their offerings include a vast range of decor, and carefully curated furniture pieces, which are all staged beautifully in their store.
They have a great selection of planters and vases, and small decorative items, so this is definitely one to check out if you are looking to style some shelves, or add layers to a coffee table.
Sundays
Vancouver showroom in South Granville, https://www.sundays-company.ca
Sundays carry a curated selection of accessibly priced furniture - it's trendy but with classic elements to ensure longevity. A highlight is their modular sofa selection, they have you covered for any number of room configurations, available in a range of colours and styles.
Their catalog currently includes a second collaboration with Vancouver-based artist, Scott Sueme. Incorporating his abstract prints in their limited edition range of rugs for Sundays x Scott Sueme is a great example of how they stay fresh and exciting.
The Cross Decor & Design
Yaletown, https://thecrossdesign.com
The Cross Decor and Design carries a diverse selection of styles and products, ranging from modern and abstract furniture pieces, to really ornate dishware and chandeliers, as well as wedding essentials, jewelry, candles, and the cutest party decor. Their line with Canadian artist, Tiffany de la Llave, is definitely worth a visit for any interior design enthusiasts.
Online you can shop by new arrivals, by room, or best sellers, to make sure you don't miss a thing in their extensive collection.
